Kart Sport New Zealand along with the clubs have been working to get
the tracks open and as of midday Tuesday this looked like a return to
practicing within a week and club day racing soon after.
This was under the recommendations from Sport New Zealand that we were
initially allowed 100 people + entrants + officials/volunteers.
This then got dropped to 100 people maximum, which was a setback but
Unfortunately at 9 pm Tuesday KSNZ sent out an email to clubs saying
that no club based outdoor sporting event can have more than 10 people
That left the well-made plans in taters and it was back to drawing
board to see what can be recovered if anything to open up the tracks.
We will keep you updated as soon as we know more but unfortunately the
track and full facility will have to remain closed for a while longer.
Thank you for your understanding, if you have any questions just call.
Also, a couple of days ago you had a reminder from the secretary to update your personal details in the online database. If you haven't done so by now- can you please go to our website, log into your "Member login" and complete all your details. When we will get access back on track - contact tracing will be a requirement!
